Second stop: South America, Morretes and Lima

I have always loved fruit juice, especially orange, and not just because I come from the juice industry. It’s refreshing, healthy and can be found anywhere. Of course in some places we don’t find fresh juice or NFC, but at least concentrated juice is easy to find anywhere we go.

The first phase of our journey was in South America, and more specifically in Brazil and Peru. We were in some tropical countries where it’s really easy to find fresh juice, so we benefitted from that.

Apart from juice, another drink that we like a lot is coconut water. That can be found more easily in coastal areas. This drink is also full of minerals and is very refreshing when served chilled.

On the way to one of the places we like a lot in the south of Brazil, called Morretes, we always stop to have some juice and coconut water.

In the restaurants in my hometown, my family and I always order some juice (I particularly like pineapple with herbs).

During our visit to Lima in Peru, we stayed at a friend’s place and our mornings were always filled with a hearty breakfast, with cereals, milk, bread, cheese, ham, and … juice. It gave us good energy to explore this warm city.
